Carolina Herrera Resort

Carolina Herrera presented her Resort collection and like a late summer party it was filled with delightful little details and unexpected elements. It was very colorful, not middle-of-July hot colors but more in an afternoon tea party in August way. There were a lot of prints balanced by the simplest black or white sandals and pretty dresses. But the clear stand out were the violet-prints that adorned the last pieces, they were delightfully summer.

Ashley Olsen: Greatest Hits

Yes! It's time to give darling Ashley Olsen the greatest hits treatment. I must admit I was an Olsen Twin fan even before they were fashion icons. Yes I own all their around the world movies and like them! And I always liked Ashley a little (very little) bit more than Mary Kate because she is more classic. I adore the huge shades, the huge bags, the crazy scarfs, the little Dior Homme jackets and the leggings worn like actual trousers. Nobody can pull that look but the Olsens. And I love that they are always drinking Starbucks! So now some of my favorite Ashley looks (specially everyday clothes) and stay tuned for MK's greatest hits.

Hilary Duff's Stranger Vid

This is Hilary Duff's new video for the song Stranger. Not my favorite song from her album Dignity, that would be Gypsy Woman, it's still good. My fave outfit is the shiny dress she wears in the club near the end of the song. Wasn't this going to be a continuation of With Love? This wasn't it, was it? Because if it was I didn't get it at all. What do you think?

Look Of The Week: Colors!

I decided to start a new section in my darling blog! Yes it's my first born and I'll love it for it. So each week I'm gonna share a look inspired by anything and everything. This week my inspiration was the cover for Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Trip The Light Fantastic (those lips! those eyes!), the 80's tinted songs (early fave? China Heart) and then other 80's inspired stuff like the video for Hellogoodbye's Here (In Your Arms). So it's summer and with summer it's always great to use überbright colors. Of course if you are a little afraid to look like a technicolor disaster, I recommend just one or two pieces worn with skinny jeans and white wayfarers.

Gossip Guys

Yes it's finally here! I know you've been holding your breath with anticipation and you can finally let it out. Well I saw a darling post at darling's Southern Shopaholic's Blog with outfits for each of the Gossip Girl girls and I decided to do the same for the boys. I based my choices on both the books (Chuck's monkey) and on the TV series (like most of Dan's clothes because if I had based it on the book all there would have been would be dirty jeans and black ts).
